steeling kimageeffect/kpixmapeffext/kpoti / Anyone interested in a Qt-only version of the files?

Hi all,

I am busy writing a Qt-only app where I need some potis like the ones in 
kdemultimedia/arts/gui/kde/kpoti.[h|cpp]. So I took the files and ported them 
to Qt-only. For some pixmap effects I needed kpixmapeffect and kimageeffect 
from kdelibs/kdefx so I ported them too.

Is it generally okay to distribute these files with my app?
Should I contact the copyright-holders in pm to ask for permission?
Are you interested in the ported versions beeing in kde?
