No, this assumption is completely wrong. 8 year-olds are better at learning 
concepts. They may have less experience, knowledge and control over their 
emotions, but as long as they don't need this to succeed, they will be better 
at it.

Learning a GUI is comparable to learning a (human) language. The earlier you 
learn it the easier it is for you.
