 KDE4 is no special prerequisite for adding new features to KNotify. People 
doing this instead of having it in their KFoo hidden from the rest of the 
world is. KNotify would be even able to make coffee these days if time spent 
on adding various notifications to various apps would have been be spent on 
it instead.
