Ah.. I have thought about this(I have a mail on it somewhere..).. I had ideas 
about an automated regression framework - on a central 24/7 server scripts 
can be run periodically checking for bad coding behavior, validating files 
etc, sending the output to mailinglists for example. DE's is perhaps not the 
best suited for automated testing but I can at least come up with a handful 
of cases where it is possible(and we will come up with more when it is 
possible to run them). Spread all over the sources is also test cases for 
this and that, it could perhaps be standardized..
IIRC, Stephan had plans to do something like this with the regression tests 
for khtml. 

Anyway, these ideas/proposals (whatever they are ;-) needs to be coordinated 
and centralized, so we don't step on each other's toes..

(Have you tried pasting "alexander dot gorlov at mail dot ru" into KMail's
