As I wrote: creating a branch takes 11 hours - you sure don't want to do
that twice a day.

The current _RELEASE tag is set to the release candidate and I was
convinced having this fact for the bug reports in the kdeversion.h might
be a good idea. Other than that, I wrote the branch is only open for 
show stopper commits - version number updates of course excluded. 
But as I said in another thread: noone listens
