 Ok. Any volunteers for finding the solution?

 While the current solution is not completely unusable because clicks on tray 
icons result in no visible effect sometimes ... oops.

 I guess this whole systray thing needs a complete overhaul. If something so 
small and simple has dozens of stupid problems, there's probably a problem 
somewhere.
