Yes, sorry -- I should have worded that differently, but the point is still
valid. According to the Audio Home Recording Act in the United States
copying CDs or other audio formats for personal use and without
redistribution is legal.
Copying copyrighted material that you have not purchased or been assigned
appropriate rights for is illegal.
So essentially: no -- copying is not copying.

That's nice, but the primary difference was that the KMLDonkey authors
acknowledged that this *is* a legal gray area and tried to explain why they
thought it was safe enough for KDE. By contrast you've repeated there is no
issue; everything is completely safe, etc. That simply is not true.

I didn't mean that as insulting -- the things that I flagged as "irrelevant"
were moral arguments, not legal ones and I'm not particularly interested in a
moral debate.
