Next to the bug reports saying that konqueror opened a message box that the
SMB network is busted :)

I would say, go forward with the backport - you need to have some basic english
vocabular to report bugs to us anyway (and the merge script runs in the branch
on a regular base now, so the translators might see the string much earlier than it
used to be)
