Roaming User Support - Questions...

Would this be a good place for a KIOSlave based caching implementaion?

While i agree with later posts saying server downtime shouldn't be tolerated, 
on a disconnected laptop machine a local cache would mean the difference 
between a productive and a useless desktop.

Is it a good design idea to implement a local caching system via a KIOSlave? 
and giving the users the option to use it for their home dir?

Sorry im not a good enough coder to do it myself yet, im just bringing the 
idea up.
