a) i use khotkeys, daily, multiple times.... only once have i used kdcop while
it was open. i never saw any reason why khotkeys didn't work...

b) in normal opertions do users use khotkeys and dcop together? or is this
some corner case you enjoy bringing up? i even did an rm kdcop and still
khotkeys works. so i find your reasoning a bit desperaite.

either way its no skin off my back, i was just stating an opinion that in
normal usage of KDE kdcop is not needed. in fact in only cases where KDE is
extended is kdcop needed.... that is my rationale.

please try not to look at this as a geek, or a programmer but as a normal
user. i would also like to take this time to say that using kdcop for
"documentation" purposes is not something a normal human would do at all.
Its like asking them to use nm to figure out what is in a library..... not
that they care whats in a library anyway ;)

maby we should work on solving the real problem instead of arguing about the
placement of a program. the placement i really cannot care less of where it
is in the end ;)

ps as for the real problem thats documentation of dcop interfaces. i have
lypanov make my a new dcopidl at n7y that can keep track of comments in the
dcop interface and place them in the dcopid file... at this point xslt comes
in and builds a html file. While not perfect, its infinitely better than
using KDCOP ;)
