Actually this is how i started to discover some of these issues.  
KWeatherService was fighting with ksms for a while, and when debugging it i 
started to see those stale files laying arround.    I _think_ there might 
also be a bug in appletproxy, but I am having a horrible time duplicating it 
at all...
