I remember in the Qt 1->2 and Qt 2->3 days running many different versions of 
Qt on the same system.  With the long life of Qt3/KDE3 I have only had one of 
each on my system and was suprised to find that QTDIR was no longer honored 
as the default choice for includes/libs/etc by configure.
