AFAIK this was all suppose to be connected by an application that would 
generate these files the source cfg files and the end files with default 
values.  ideally even documentation (zack?)  these files could then be edited 
and distributed.

while we can sorta do that now, im not sure how realistic it is.  the cfg 
files would provide a source so that all options can be exposed that are 
currently hidden in C code.  at least this is my understanding of this system 
from the sidelines.

will anyone care to correct my misbelifs?
