Hi,
This 3.2beta release slowly turns me mad. I experience crashes in many
applications, applications that were working before. I have also updated
almost all KDE modules today, but I don't believe that they become so
unstable in the last one/two weeks. The main problems now are:
1. KWin crashes when you click on the context help icon (the ? mark in the
titlebar). See kwin_bt.txt for the BT.
2. KMail crashes when you try to search for text in the messages, as soon as
you press "S". It crashes without offering a chance to get BT, so I had to
attach gdb to the process. The log does not contain KMail line number, as I
didn't wanted to wait another half an hour to recompile it. See kmail_bt.txt.
3. K3b crashes when you try to view the properties of a CD project or when you
try to burn the CD (the same dialog should appear, but it crashes). The
backtrace is different, but mostly the on found in k3b_bt.txt. Strange
enough, as it crashes in a code which get called from a class ctor (a derived
lass from KComboBox).
Well, I think I just switch back to QT 3.1.2 and recompile all the KDE until
this issues are fixed (or until KDE HEAD is not requiring QT 3.2). :-( BTW,
it seems that there is a BC issue between QT-COPY (the one after the BC fix
was committed) and QT 3.1.2, as kdeinit will not start if I simply change
back the libqt... link to the 3.1.2 one, and complains about missing symbols.
