DCOP/KDED question

I'my trying to call a method in the kpasswdserver module from another
kded module. However the call always returns false, as it would have
failed. Using the same code within a regular application succeeds.
The call in my kded module uses code like:

if (kapp->dcopClient()->call("kded", "kpasswdserver", ....)

Is this possible?
