Second that, especially if you compare:
(1) an employee who is paid for doing stuff, and if you offer topay him a
buck an hour more for herding cows, he will probably go and leave your
company
and
(2) an open source developer who's one and only reason to code is because
he cares about his absolutely voluntarily created product.
