in kdenonbeta there is a directory called dcopservices, in there are a few, 
the two most maintained are the x10 and the dcoprss services.  There is a 
template in kdevelop 3.0 also that works.

as for howto, 
http://developer.kde.org/documentation/library/kdeqt/kde3arch/services.html 
is pretty good.  I used it to make the templates.  If you have any hangups 
though feel free to drop me a line or nab me on IRC.
