Great, thanks! I didn't know that their project was in sf.net. Why doesn't 
google point me to it?

Anyway, taking the risk of getting off topic, for those who are still using 
software synthesizing, I found http://www.iiwu.org/iiwusynth/ to be quite a 
good solution also. The sound databases available for it have really good 
quality.
