Australian representative?

I actually talked with DanielS on freenode before offering my 
services. It was actually he that suggested I apply for the position.

I didn't apply before talking to DanielS as I, like you, assumed that 
it would result in animosity. But Daniel's logic is that it was bad 
for KDE to have no .au representative and I as representative was 
better than none.

I actually get the feeling that Daniel's explanation of not realizing 
kde-core is archived is an honest explanation. Personally I often 
prefer freenode discussions rather than mailing list ones mainly 
because of the lack of (public) archiving.
