 One more thing after discussion with Waldo: E.g. if you want to include whole 
qt-bugs@ mail, and it includes more things than you'd want to get applied,
put the whole mail in 1234-mypatch.txt, and in 1234-mypatch.diff put only the 
header, short description, and the patch to be applied. Only files with 
extensions .patch or .diff will be applied.
