I usually top out at 6 kvims plus a konsole on one desktop.  Docs are sent 
to another desktop, as are other tasks.

If it's uncomfortable, I hope you'll report to the kwin/kicker/other 
developers to help them try to make it more comfortable.  Unless the issue 
is discussed, these areas of weakness will never be improved.
