Well, bugs don't usually take effort to implement :-)

The idea is for app that doesn't know how long some calculation takes to set 
the number of steps to 0 and to keep incrementing the progress value, which 
will cause a small indicator to go back and forth, indicating that something 
is going on. Fortunately, I don't believe there are any KDE apps that take 
advantage of that, since the usual progressbar is obviously more helpful.
