reducing number of lines for configure

Lubos I forgot the thing Dirk suggested to put here Lunak l.lunak at suse.cz

 Hello,

some of you probably already had the luck to notice configure doesn't
sometimes work that well if it has more than 32767 lines. IIRC Dirk even
tried some compile options to get rid of the 32767 limit for #line. I ran in
the same problem today with kdebase's configure. Dirk suggested I try to help
reducing configure's size, and after ironically saying that getting rid of
10k lines from configure is no problem for me, I actually managed to achieve
it ;).

Could somebody review the attached patches? The acinclude.m4.in was just a
small try, I don't think we still need MICO checks. The second one is the
more interesting, I hope the comments explains it. It works for me (TM), but
as we all know :-/, that doesn't mean it will necessarily work for everybody.
