The code to do hide-and-show is non trivial, due to KPanel constrarints. If 
you do only minor things wrong, a button click will be either ignored or sent 
to the wrong widget or handled by the wrong sourcecode (KPanel vs KMix 
Dock-icon vs KMix slider). Please only adjust the code there if you know 100% 
what you are doing.

Or the CD volume. Or the back speaker volume ("Surround"). Or ...

BTW: Putting a "show main window" below the slider like Aaaron mentioned looks 
like very bad UI design to me.
