I feel like one of those guys who was hired into a company with the express
purpose of dismantling it. I'm starting to think I have only a few options,
and fixing kmidi as it is is NOT one of them. It's too broken.

Not that I'm complaining. Even disposing of kmidi would at least mean
something is being done with it.

So, I'm not too familiar with kmid, as least not as familiar with kmidi.
I'll do some homework on it, but what features does kmid not have that could
be merged in from kmidi? Perhaps talking to a timidity server? I'm ok with
merging in the features from kmidi and then end-of-lifing kmidi, but I
really want to make sure it's done logically and that no functionality is
missing between the two projects.
