So that we get this little tirade over with quickly, I've found even more
references:

http://www.right-track.com/dictionary.htm#F
http://www.softwareeducation.co.nz/Freebies/PC.pdf
http://www.pagel.clara.co.uk/lsc/notes1.htm
http://www.forks.wednet.edu/high/Vocational/Dillonm/techlab/techclass/wadsworth-oneillm/COMPUTER
TERMINOLOGY.html
http://www.opengroup.org/austin/mailarchives/austin-review-l/msg00727.html

This URL says that glibc uses "file name" even if POSIX says it should be
"filename":
http://gnu.mirror.widexs.nl/manual/glibc-2.0.6/html_node/libc_71.html

And to reply to Rob's comment that appeared why I was typing this: we should
focus on standards, even if standards said that it should be "phile nayme".
