No, and that was the reason why I never suggested to throw away KEdit ;)
We are on the way to a better rendering infrastructure in the kate part but 
until now NO bidi is supported at all, perhaps it will be until 3.2 (that is 
a GREAT perhaps). I think Hamish has looked a bit at bidi but didn't feel 
like it would be easy doable, too. If somebody volunteers to help 
implementing it, feel free to drop KEdit, but until that problem is solved it 
should stay in my eyes.
