I believe that it's not a mistery, Is just a qt-copy issue..
Kde developers like's to use qt-copy, and since qt-copy is always updated with 
latest version, then it's natural to move to new stuff..
Some people ( like me ) see that qt-copy's version will be the Qt lib for the 
development branch.

Just a simple way to see things.. :-)
