extra properties in .desktop files

I'm trying to store (and retrive) an extra property from a .desktop file that
represents a service (a plug in in fact).
The file is festival.desktop and contains an extra property called
X-KDE-Languages (and I may have more extra properties) which represents the
languages this plug in can handle (a list of codes separated by comas).
But when I try to get it with KService::property(const QString& _name) it says
kio (KService*): Request for unknown property 'X-KDE-Languages'. Am I doing
something wrong ? can this be made ? if not, what do you recomend ?
