Greetings
I have a question from the Sunray and Linux thin client crowd. KDE rocks for
thin clients since it seems to scale well to running 20 clients off of a
central server (in this case this was a Compaq 2x800Mhz w/ 1.4G ram proliant
server running RH 7.1 and KDE 3.0.2 compiled from source to 20 P133
workstations at a school). Ironcily OO is the biggest problem child here
with ram :)
At any rate, there have been some questions from various people about getting
sound out to these thin clients from the central server. Has anyone had
experiance with this? If not I might be willing to attack this for KDE 3.2,
just because belive it or not thin clients still are being used in the real
world, and KDE works on thin clients quite well.
Cheers
