Hugh? I updated CVS yesterday, did cvs-clean and installed in an empty dir... 
I still have the same icons for konsole and kcontrol and they still look 
quite similar. I don't have a problem to recognise the shell, but the control 
center is quite hard and I always have to search for it.
BTW, the kcontrol icon is also mirrored depending on its size: small icon has 
the PCIcard on the left, the large one on the right side. 

About the konqueror icon: I like it as it is. I don't think, we need more 
colors here.
