Suggestion:  As you seem to be leading efforts for clipboard 
standardization and debugging, I would suggest that you create a Clipboard 
package or component in bugs.kde.org.  This way if you or I or anyone else 
has issues with the clipboard behavior, they can be documented and 
discussed more easily.

I don't know if it should be a component of kdelibs, or klipper, or a 
package of its own.  But one place to centralize any issues people have 
with it.
