Then why change? If the default is decent enough that nobody can come up
with objective criticisms to it, then that's a pretty strong argument in
favor if it. Just leave the default and add a new Personalizer theme for
Keramik.

No, the argument is that users have been happy with it since KDE 2.0, that
KDE has done very well since KDE 2.0. So if something that's been part of
KDE's success since 3.0 is to change, then I challenge those wishing to
change it to come up with good reasons for doing it.
Stability isn't just a trait of software, it's a product of mindset and
processes.
