I found app/x-font-speedo. (gg:mime type speedo font)
You can have a look at gnome's magic file. You can have a look at what
"file -i" says. If you find already existing matches, use them. If you
don't find them for a particular font type, coordinate with the Gnomes
so that both use the same. Consider getting the Gnomes on board to
write an RFC registering the font/* top-level mime type.
I found two interesting references:
1. A (short) discussion on a gnome ml about removing their font/* mime
types
2. A (short) discussion on a w3c mailing list about introducing a new
font top-level mime type.
You might want to ask on ietf-types at iana.org for the sentiment towards a
font top-level mime type.
