[HELP] Broken Merging?

Hi,

Several KDE apps seem to be displaying broken menu merging:

1) Kate's File menu is completely messed up. There are "Save" and "Print" 
entries below "Quit", as well as a double seperator.

2) Every XMLGUI app is merging config entries in the wrong place. The style 
guide says that application-specific options should be above Configure 
Shortcuts/Configure Toolbars/Configure <appname>, but XMLGUI apps are merging 
their config entries at the very bottom of the "Settings" menu. This is in 
direct conflict with the styleguide and many non-XMLGUI apps

I'm useless when it comes to this stuff, any help on fixing them would be 
greatly apprechiated.
