Yes, this (part of the) tread is started because people found KView unusable 
since it does not auto-resize since a couple of weeks anymore.

I myself find KView unusable for that fact alone.

Users always find problems with the software we make, get used to it and only 
look at the difference in productivity and comments between a couple of 
solutions.  Hmm, I think thats called user-testing :)
