Just a quick note: I'm one of the Bugzilla maintainers (and a KDE user);
Telsa, who works on Gnome, tipped me off that you were thinking of
migrating. I just wanted to say that I'm happy to answer questions any
of you might have about how to do any customisations - our experience is
that there's always an easier way than the one you first think of :-)
The newsgroup news://news.mozilla.org/netscape.public.mozilla.webtools
is also a good place.

To quickly respond to some of the points in the very long thread:

- Bugzilla's UI is completely customisable using templates. If the
search form is too complex, you can remove bits - or have simple and
advanced versions.
See http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/query.cgi?format=classic and
for a demonstration. The classic version is from before a usability rewrite.

- It's possible to have anonymous bug submission with a tiny bit of
hacking, if you want it. But forcing logins does improve report quality.

- Fenris (the Loki Bugzilla fork) is no longer maintained or supported.
The team maintaining Loki's code recommend Bugzilla.

If anyone has any other questions, let me know. I'm on holiday for a
week from tomorrow, but hope to still be able to read and send mail.
