Akademy 2026 Program & Important Travel Info!

Hey all!

We hope you’re getting excited about this year’s Akademy* *(Sept 19-24). Our wonderful programming committee just finished the schedule which is *now available to view! <https://akademy.kde.org/2026/program> *We* *have a really cool lineup and some special birthday related events and programming this year that aren’t on the talks schedule, *so stay tuned and make sure to **register* <https://akademy.kde.org/2026/register>* to attend.*

On the note of getting to Graz, for those of you who live outside the EU there are some new requirements you’ll need to bear in mind when traveling. Read the information about the entry-exit system <https://home-affairs.ec.europa.eu/policies/schengen/smart-borders/entry-exit-system_en> so you’re prepared.
*Tl;Dr: *basically in addition to your normal visa process (if applicable) you’ll potentially need to do a fingerprint/biometric scan at border checkpoints at the airport.

Finally, the* deadline is approaching* *for submitting your contributions to Akademy’s 30th Birthday Book (August 15th!)*
