Hello folks!

This is your reminder that if you have not submitted *your* (not AI generated)
talk yet, now is the time to do it! We are happy to announce that *The
deadline for submissions is extended to Sunday, May 31 at 23:59 CEST!* So
please submit your talks!

The details can be found on the Call for Participation <https://
akademy.kde.org/2026/cfp/> page, if you’re not sure about whether you should
submit a talk, we encourage you to do it anyway! If your talk isn’t chosen,
don’t worry, there will be opportunities during the week to hold a BoF session
or just chat with other folks in the halls about it. Submit your talk here
<https://conf.kde.org/event/11/abstracts/>.

Additionally, there are ways to contribute to the programming at Akademy this
year outside of the Talks/BoF tracks. Check out the 30th Birthday section
<https://community.kde.org/Akademy/2026#30th_Birthday_Celebration> of this
year’s Akademy wiki for details.

Lastly, the deadline to apply for travel support is May 31, read the policy
<https://ev.kde.org/rules/reimbursement_policy/> and submit your application
<https://reimbursements.kde.org/events/247> ASAP. Don’t forget to register
<https://akademy.kde.org/2026/register/> to attend if you haven’t already!

Best Regards,
Bhushan, For Akademy 2026 Program Committee
