That somehow ended in no action if I am not mistaken.
We could at least close stuff of dead projects like
https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kde-telepathy
Or WebKit, ...
That will not hurt and decrease the amount of clutter.
Some lists have as last mails my mass bug close mails of dead components or the mail you cited here ;)
