For me it was around earlier and we, as the community, had the K
prefix for the same purpose others has Microsoft or Oracle but just
harder to understand/pronounce.

But here the maintainer has more to say. To me there's a lot of sense
in Snapshot, the same sense that made let us to introduce some new
names for Calligra.
