Yes, that’s an important question indeed; if the developers do not want the 
project to be a part of Plasma, then it really can’t be.

The four questions I presented are really only about the appropriateness of 
the technical focus of the application, and your question adds the dimension 
of feasibility. IMO that fifth question can only discount the positive. Put 
mathematically, with questions numbered 1-5:

	P(application) = (1+2+3+4)*5;

There’s a pair of separate questions:

* Are there opportunities to work on greater integration with Plasma?
* Does this application fit in as part of the Plasma product itself?

If Krita were to work on tight integration with Plasma, that still would not 
make it an application that makes sense as part of the Plasma regime itself. 
Collaborating on technology and working as a single whole are obviously not 
tied to each other.

This is equally important for applications that do not wish to be part of the 
overall Plasma ‘product’ but want to work on great integration with it.
