Where do we draw the line between them?

Plasmoids come from (live in) the Plasma Workspaces world, it's our desktop.
Thanks to the awesome KF5 effort apps are becoming more
desktop-agnostic than ever. These two worlds rock while running
side-by-side but also would shine when used separately.

I do see cases when both plasmoid and app are shipped but if we have
to reap fruits of KF5 they should not be too deeply dependent, one on
another, technically and in terms of deployment.

And BTW, if this counts, I dislike idea of embedding plasmoid-like
style in apps. Such ideas blur the boundaries that should be sharp,
and look a bit like a technical exercise.

KF5 is for devs, what's new for users? Some users perhaps expect a
massive change in next gen KDE's app HIGs for desktops (and HIGs that
are detailed but generic enough). Mixing plasmoids, as desktop
gadgets, with apps cannot be a replacement for this task.
