The first one I've seen by looking quickly through your commit (feel
free to correct me) is the hardcoded use of "dist-packages" in the file
installation, which is a Debianism. Neither Fedora nor openSUSE uses
it. If you think it's too much of a hassle to auto-detect it (it would
need a Python program to run and query the site packages dir) perhaps a
CMake switch should be used to ensure the files are installed
in the right location.
