This definately won't happen, unless the bindings get split in the source
level, so that building becomes base > bindings-base > apps > bindings-apps.
But this would require stuff like libsmoke to actually grow some kind of abi
stability.
The current issue in workspace vs bindings is mostly a runtime vs buildtime
issue though.
workspace needs bindings at runtime, but actually not at build time. CMake
checks at build time.
