Description:
KAlarm lets you configure personal messages to be
displayed, commands to be executed, or emails to
be sent, at scheduled times. Among its options, it
allows you to choose the message font and color,
how often to repeat, whether to display an advance
reminder, whether to speak the message or play a
sound when it is displayed, whether to cancel the
alarm if it can't be triggered on time (e.g. if
you are logged out at the time). As well as using
the graphical interface to configure alarms, you
can use the command line, and there is a DCOP
interface for other applications.

The development version (version 2.0 beta)
includes the new facility to use multiple alarm
resources, and to share resources. This allows,
for example, sharing alarm calendars between
laptops and desktop computers. It also includes a
new facility to set the time zone for alarm times.
Summer/winter (daylight saving) time changes are
now handled correctly. Plus various other new
features. Version 2.0 beta should be reasonably
stable, but do please help by reporting any bugs
you find - or reporting if it works well for you
(using the new user comment feedback facility if
you like).

Changelog:
Version 1.5.3: Fixed the loss of the recurrence
count when creating an alarm from a template.
Fixed Find not working with a new search text
after a failed search. Plus other bug fixes.

Version 2.0.0 beta3: Fixed alarms created by
command line or DCOP wrongly showing next time as
"Never". Fixed crashes on quitting. Show font and
colour in read-only edit dialogue Other bug fixes.
Improved translations.
