Description:
The cb2Bib is a tool for rapidly extracting
unformatted biblographic references from email
alerts, journal Web pages, and PDF files.

The cb2Bib is intended to be used by scientists
and students. It facilitates catching single
references at the time of being announced. The
references are formatted as BibTeX standard. A PDF
file with the article text, if available, can be
easily renamed to more meaningful than the well
known 'science' or 'fulltext.pdf' filenames...
Applications such as Kile, KBibTeX, sixpack,
JabRef, Pybliographer, Tellico, or OpenOffice can
later retrieve, import, use, or display these
BibTeX references. In summary, cb2Bib is designed
to help organizing and storing the huge amount of
bibliographic information that everyday reaches
our mailboxes.

Changelog:
 version 0.8.4

The PubMed/Medline parser and the netqinf.txt has
been updated to adapt to recent changes in the
PubMed service. Relative file paths are now used
within the command line 'cb2bib --conf'. This
solves possible issues when the program is
launched from USB devices.

version 0.8.3

This is maintenance release. It fixes a memory
leak, solves some issues when linking against Qt
4.3.0, improves the Windows installer, and adds a
command line flag to specify the configuration
file. Binaries for Fedora, openSuse, and xUbuntu
are provided.

version 0.8.2

This release improves bibliographic searches.
Searches on linked files are speedup by using
cache. Excerpts are now seen on the browser.
Matches are highlighted. Approximate string
searches are introduced, and are intended to
overcome frequent errors in PDF encoding. A few
bugs, mainly related to copying/moving files on
the Windows version, are fixed.

version 0.8.1

BibTeX parsing and recognition was improved. This
fixes failures to parse non-braced fields in the
'Search in Files' functionality and the editor's
reference list. The PDFImport was also improved,
the 'Search in Files' for composite patterns was
optimized, and the query tag 'excerpt' was
introduced.

version 0.8.0

The embedded BibTeX editor incorporates a browser
display mode that enhances file navigation and
reference presentation. Advanced reference search
capabilities are included. Several issues
regarding automatic recognition and dialog
functionality were addressed.
