[Kde-accessibility] Jovie - pausing and resuming jobs

Hello,

I am having problems pausing and resuming a job on Jovie. Using
opensuse Leap 42.1, KDE Plasma 5.5.5, Qt 5.5.1, kernel
4.1.20-11-default, and jovie-15.12.3-15.8.x86_64.

I have low vision and use jovie for most reading tasks on the computer.
On the system tray icon for Jovie, right clicking works fine for
speaking text from the clipboard and stopping and deleting jobs. Both
are reliable and consistent. Pausing from the context menu of this icon
does not work at all. I googled and read the jovie handbook which
indicates that one can pause and resume jobs from the text-to-speech
Control Module. And it does work to some extent. However, it is very
erratic and often does not work. I found the most consistent result was
to start the job, then start the Control Module and then try to pause.
But it is hit or miss, sometimes it pauses, sometimes it does not. And
sometimes it resumes at a different place. Sometimes it takes repeatedly
starting and stopping a job to get it to work. A big problem with using
the Control Module, however, is that once it is closed jovie does not
function properly. I get a message from the "dummy output module" to
the effect that speech dispatcher is working, etc. I then have to quit
the System Tray icon, kill jovie and res-start it. It's really a hassle.

For jobs that do not have to be paused, it is very consistent and I am
very pleased. The problem with pause and resume has been there for KDE
4.x series also, not just for Plasma 5 - at least in opensuse. Any help
to get this to work would be very much appreciated. Thanks, Gustav.
