I think I understand at least this one. Yes, "Automatic" does not pick KDE 
settings for the document's background nor for the document's text.

Kendy? What do you think?

Or is that linked to the fact that documents have colours of their own, which 
have nothing to do with the colour of the application? But in that case, why 
does OOo propose a setting for that?
