Thanks for cc'ing us. There are indeed a lotof things which could be
improved to make kicker more accessibility.

I agree that in some cases, having big sizes is important. You can set
the size of user elements through a couple of settings in KDE:

1. Font sizes. This also increases the sizes of buttons and of the window
title. If there is text in some applets (or in the taskbar, etc.), then
this settings should be taken into account.

2. Minimum window border size.

3. Icon sizes and Kicker size.

It an applet takes all these settings into account, then it should always
be possible to scale user elements in kicker to a minimum size. If an
applet does not respect these global KDE settings, then there should be a
way to set its size.

One accessibility in kicker currently are the handles for moving an
applet. These are small, and the popup button is even smaller. Of course
these sizes are defined by the styles, not by kicker itself, but we are
currently lacking an accessibile style in KDE. In kdenonbeta there is an
attempt for this which was created last year, but I don't know if anyone
plans on finishing this.

Another big accessibility problem for kicker is the lack of keyboard
navigation. This probably really dificult to fix, but it is also very
important. Perhaps some changes to Qt will be necessary as well, I don't
know.

I hope my comments are of help to you, and good luck especially with the
last point.

Olaf
